It is actually quite simple, but can be confusing. Hopefully this post will make it easy.
The first thing you will need to do is get your IP Address, you can do this by going to: What is My IP Address?
Now you need to create a Filter, using the Filter Manager located under Analytic Settings, this is what it looks like... It is located at the bottom right hand corner.
Below are the steps to setting up this Filter...
1) Go to Filter Manager (bottom right corner on the Analytics Settings page.
2) Click Add Filter (upper right corner)
3) Type in a Title for your Filter... i.e. Exclude IP Etsy Shop
4) Click next to Predefined filter
5) Filter Type: Exclude
6) Use drop down arrow, pick "Traffic from the IP Addresses"
7) Use drop down arrow, pick "That are equal to"
8) IP Address: now enter your IP address
9) Go to: Apply Filter to Website Profiles
10 Under Available Website Profiles, click on the site you want to exclude IP addresses from, then click on Add. This moves it from the left box to the right side box.
11) Click on Save Changes
Below is what your filter should look like once you have completed the steps above... (click on the photo to enlarge it.)
**NOTE: This filter does not work if you have a Dynamic IP Address.
Hope you find this helpful!
Have an awesome Holiday weekend!
